More than 200 graduates worldwide start with us every year on our Graduate Development Programmes. Each graduate scheme is tailored to the needs of its global location. But wherever in the world you join us, expect a real job with real responsibilities from day one.
A truly international career
In most cases, you’ll have plenty of time to build a solid foundation for your career, spending your initial years in your country of hire. For those who prove they really are future talent, you can hope to be off to another country, probably for two or three years, before moving on again for another opportunity. Just when and where you move will always depend on the overseas jobs available, as well as your personal ambitions.
Development through real responsibility
By taking this approach to talent development we balance a results-focus with international experience. We believe this accelerates individual growth. For us, hitting ambitious targets only proves how much you’ve grown in a short time. Of course, where you need more formal training to help you achieve, we are committed to delivering it.

This is the oxygen of our business and so it’s the most common programme we have globally, although each country uses a slightly different format. Wherever you are you will learn about both functions through taking ownership of real roles, but you will soon specialise in one or the other. Perform well and you can develop into a sales or marketing director and ultimately a country general manager.
The second largest of our programmes enables you to learn how to run one of our world-class manufacturing facilities from the ground up. You’ll join one of our manufacturing sites around the globe and take on roles in engineering, quality or manufacturing. All these experiences will give you the business insight to develop from plant manager to supply director, and beyond.
You’ll benefit from a structured global programme, first spending a set time in a regional or country-based role before moving to Global HQ for a projects position. Longer-term, if you deliver results you can expect to become a global IS manager or a director.
The focus here is on our five global R&D centres of excellence. You’ll develop by moving between the different pillars of R&D - the New Technologies Group, Category Development and the Scientific Services Group. As the business grows so will you - prove yourself and you can expect to eventually become an R&D director for a product category or an R&D pillar.
